Cairn O, Loughcrew, Co. Meath.

Location – If you are going over to Carnbane West, this tomb is right next to the gate from the road.
OS: N 579 773 (map 42)
GPS: N 57970 77319 (Accuracy – 2m)
Longitude: 7° 7' 16.7" W
Latitude: 53° 44' 32.13" N

See map at the bottom of the page.

Description and History – There is very little left here to see and it was only on the second time of looking that we spotted a low mound that is really marked by a change in grass colour.  A decorated stone has been set into the ground some meters away from it and this is possible the only remaining stone from the former tomb. What it may have been like is unclear.

Difficulty – Very easy to get to if you can spot it.

This barely discernible mound is all that remains of this tomb.

You can just make out a spiral to the left of centre in this picture.
